Tentative Changes To Collective Agreement Between OPSEU Local 329 and Waypoint - To Be Ratified Janu
5 years (April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2021)
(total of 8.05% over term of contract)
*Red Circled members will receive $750.00 in 2017, 2018 and 2019
*Wage increases will be pro-rated by hours for part-time/casual members
April 1, 2018: addition of 7th week after 32 years
April 1, 2019: 7 weeks after 31 years
April 1, 2020: 6 weeks after 23 years
April 1, 2021: 5 weeks after 14 years, 7 weeks after 30 years
To be ongoing with equal input from Union members and Management.
Hours of Work (article 25.01):
Normal workday will be from 7.5 hours up to and including 11.25 hours to 37.5 hours a week.
Parental Leave (article 34):
To follow new employment insurance legislation.
Part-timers can make themselves available for up to 37.5 hours of overtime.
Schedule by Schedule:
Hospital will endeavor to pre-schedule staff hours consistent with standard and extend work day as defined in article 25.01.
The Employer agrees to convert at least 9 positions to full-time and will look at converting other positions as well.
There will be no cost sharing for the term of the contract.
Vision: up to $400.00 every 2 years
Increase from $3.30/hr to $4.90/hr on holidays (beginning April 1, 2018).
Will be twice a year and there will be prior year bank (beginning January 1).
Letters of Reprimand:
Will remain on file for 24 months, then removed, if suspension is related to patient abuse or workplace violence.
Employees returning from long-term leave will have to complete 150 hours (changed from 20 consecutive days worked).
Posting and Filling of Vacancies:
Changed from 10 working days to 10 days.
Changed from June 15 to September 15 to 2nd Monday in June to 2nd Monday in September.
Language change to now include PPE.
